Terms of Service
Last updated: May 29, 2025
1. Acceptance of Terms
By accessing and using Warranty Walrus ("the Service"), you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service. If you do not agree, please do not use the Service.
2. Service Description
Warranty Walrus provides warranty status checking, warranty claim assistance, and repair service matching. We use AI-powered image recognition and third-party databases to analyze products and estimate warranty coverage. Our results are informational and not a guarantee of warranty coverage — the manufacturer's official warranty policy always governs.
3. User Responsibilities
- You must provide accurate and truthful information when submitting product images, warranty checks, or claims.
- You must not upload images containing personal information of other individuals without their consent.
- You must not use the Service for any unlawful purpose or in any way that violates applicable laws or regulations.
- You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your account credentials.
4. Accuracy of Information
Warranty Walrus uses AI models and third-party data to estimate warranty coverage. While we strive for accuracy, we make no warranties that our results are complete, current, or error-free. Warranty data is provided for informational purposes only. Always verify warranty status directly with the manufacturer.
5. Intellectual Property
The Service, including its design, software, and content, is owned by Warranty Walrus and protected by applicable intellectual property laws. You may not copy, modify, or distribute any part of the Service without our written permission.
6. Uploaded Content
By uploading images or other content to the Service, you grant Warranty Walrus a non-exclusive, royalty-free license to use that content solely to provide the Service to you. We do not sell or share your uploaded images with third parties except as required to process your request (e.g., sending to Google Cloud Vision or OpenAI for analysis).
7. Third-Party Services
The Service integrates with third-party providers including Google Cloud Vision, OpenAI, and others. Your use of the Service is also subject to their respective terms of service and privacy policies.
8. Limitation of Liability
To the fullest extent permitted by law, Warranty Walrus shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, or consequential damages arising from your use of the Service, including but not limited to: incorrect warranty assessments, manufacturer denials of warranty claims, or loss of data. Our total liability for any claim shall not exceed the amount you paid us in the prior 12 months (or $10 if no payment was made).
9. Disclaimer of Warranties
The Service is provided "as is" and "as available" without warranties of any kind, express or implied, including warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, or non-infringement.
10. Termination
We reserve the right to suspend or terminate your access to the Service at any time, with or without cause, if we believe you have violated these Terms or applicable law.
11. Governing Law
These Terms are governed by the laws of the United States. Any disputes shall be resolved in the courts of competent jurisdiction.
12. Changes to Terms
We may update these Terms from time to time. Continued use of the Service after changes are posted constitutes acceptance of the updated Terms. The "Last updated" date at the top reflects the most recent revision.
